Enough is Enough

Updated: Feb 13, 2020

Dear Supporters,

We are deeply saddened, as you probably are, by the tragic helicopter accident that took 9 lives last Sunday. The devastating crash takes on particular importance to those residing in the Southern San Fernando Valley and Santa Monica Mountains because it occurred in our mountain range, shining a light on the dangers of flying at low altitudes through elevated terrain.

In the days since then, new information has come to light that the FAA overruled multiple safety recommendations from the NTSB that could have helped prevent this horrific crash.

The FAA has also permitted Southwest to neglect compliance with safety standards. The U.S. Department of Transportation's draft report, expected to be published soon, suggests that "the Federal Agency (FAA) created an enabling environment for Southwest’s safety oversights.”

On the heels of the helicopter tragedy this past weekend, and in light of the recent report that the FAA allowed Southwest to fly millions of people on jets with unconfirmed maintenance records, as well as the 737 Max 8 crisis -- we you to join UproarLA and Studio City For Quiet Skies in saying: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

WRITE TO THE TASK FORCE AND ASK THEM TO PUT PEOPLE OVER PROFIT.

For ease we have compiled some some key points you can use in your letter to the Task Force. Feel free to use or write in your own words.
